Benidorm Beaches offer 6km of fine golden sand. Cleaned daily the three main beaches in Benidorm are Levante to the west, Poniente to the east and Mal Pas next to the harbour.
As you would expect these beaches have been awarded the "Blue Flag" and apart from fine golden sand they offer lifeguard patrols and a host of sport and recreational facilities that are hard to beat anywhere in Europe.
Levante Beach In Benidorm
Levante Beach is locally known as Sunrise beach and with well over 5000 sun beds it can get quite busy during the summer months.
The wide promenade is home to 100s of cafes and bars providing you with the necessary refreshments to get you through the day.
Our advice is walk, take a taxi or bus but don't drive your Benidorm rental car to this beach which has limited parking facilities.
The beach is cleaned everyday and slopes gradually down to the water side providing safe bathing for both confident and not so confident swimmers.
For strong swimmers and those who love messing about in the sea you can find rafts and diving boards anchored just off-shore.
The hot Benidorm summer weather means that the lifeguards are on duty until 8pm during the summer and in the fading winter sun they leave Benidorm's Levante Beach at around 5pm.
Levante is one of the biggest and best beaches in Benidorm and you will find an array of the finest water sports in Benidorm including jet skis, water sking and the more sedate pedlos.
Poniente Beach In Benidorm
With some great sunsets and at the other end of the 6kms of fine golden sand that stretch from Levante beach, Poniente Beach is generally quieter but still has all the facilities such as water sports and the all important sun beds;
With fine sand and no rocks, safe bathing is the order of the day and again the Lifeguards are on hand until 8pm in the summer and 5pm in the winter.
Mal Pas Beach In Benidorm
Located close to the Harbour a much smaller and more personal beach than the other two beaches in Benidorm but still very pleasant and normally a lot less crowded. |
